PREMIUM ITEMS

The following is a list of just SOME of the items that carry a premium charge at the point of disposal because they are classified as hazardous either to the environment, ecology or human beings.
All prices shown exclude VAT.

P.O.A. = Price on Application).

• Items containing CFC’s i.e.:  Fridge, freezer, combination fridge/freezer, water cooler, Ice maker, chiller cabinet etc. Currently the charge per domestic CFC item is £50, commercial and large chest freezers are charged at up to £150 per item (P.O.A.).

• Flourescent tubing: Basically these work out to be £1 per foot.

• Car batteries: Depending on size they range from £5 to £25 each.

• Tyres: Again depending on size and whether or not they are attached to the wheel. For instance, a standard car tyre without the wheel would be £3.50, with the wheel it would be £5. 4x4’s are £5 and £7, vans £10 & £15, lorries £15 & £25 and a tractor tyre would cost £30 & £50.

• Mattresses: Single = £10 each. Standard Double = £15 each, Queen size = £20 each, King size = £25 each.

• Computer Monitors/Televisions = £15 each.

• Computer keyboard = £3 each.

• Computer mouse = £3 each.

• Heavy metals such as lead, zinc etc also carry a premium, price on application.

• Anything containing Asbestos, price on application.

• Paint and oil: These are classed as hazardous material and requires special disposal. Not all waste sites are equipped to deal with this and therefore a specialist waste site is used. This, of course, puts paint disposal at a very high price, depending on quantity, price on application.
