What do you get? -What is waste?

What do you get for your money?

DS Home Solutions believe it is important that you know what you get for your money.
Below is a list of things that we will carry out during a

GENERAL CLEARANCE or a SPECIAL CLEARANCE
For further details please contact us.

General:
A General clearance involves the removal and disposal of effects identified during the quotation phase.  These items are taken to an Environment Agency recognised site.  A brush or vacuum is then used to clean the area.  Only where cleaning is specifically requested will normal household cleaning products be used.

Specials:
A special clearance and clean involves the following:
  • All items are checked for needles and sharps.
  • Items that are able to be bagged are done so using special decontaminated bags, which are then placed on the vehicle for disposal.
  • Large items are decontaminated and removed onto the vehicle for disposal.
  • The room is then thoroughly cleaned using a powerful decontamination product . This includes walls, doors, floor, windows, built in cupboards, fittings (light shades & switches), skirting boards, power points and anything else that remains fixed in the room.
  • The room is then left up to three hours whilst the solution destroys the micro organisms that can cause odours and infection.
  • After a minimum of three hours the room is cleaned again, this time using general cleaning products. Where practicable, the windows will be left open to “air” the room.
  • Result? A room that is totally decontaminated and left safe for new furniture to be placed and people to enter.
  • What happens to the items that have been removed? These are taken to an Environment Agency recognised site where they are safely destroyed

Any quote you are given by
ds home solutions
will be honoured for 28 days from date of issue.

However, should you feel that you would rather have your work undertaken by another company may we offer the following advice; this is for your peace of mind.

  • Ask to see a copy of the waste licence (ensure it is issued by the Environment Agency).  If they are unable to produce one, your items could be fly-tipped which could be traced back to you. This could prove to be very costly as YOU and not the person you hired is responsible for your removed rubbish. It may be cheap in the short term, but in the long term?
  • Ask what is included and what level of service you would receive.
  • Ask for a written quotation and how long it will be valid for.
  • Ask for a schedule of works and ensure you have a copy to check what they say will be done, is in fact, done.

Whatever company you decide will carry out the work,
Ds Home Solutions hope things run smoothly and that your future is a happier one.
